Town Supervisor Paul Feiner:”An exceptional 9-11 hero and Hartsdale Fire Commissioner passed away on January 9th Peter Woods, a 9/11 hero, was a model citizen–someone who always tried to help others. He spoke passionately about his experiences on 9/11 at our annual 9/11 memorial ceremonies. He spent many hours working with the Hartsdale Fire district as a Fire Commissioner. He fought for safety enhancements on Central Ave near Sacred Heart Church and did so much more. He was an exceptional human being, had a positive attitude about life–a model citizen and an inspiration.”
