Hello Hartsdale Community,
The rain and  leaves are falling and Halloween is right around the corner, but for now, we want to share some Hartsdale News Updates.

Public Discussion on Marijuana Retail Dispensaries and Lounges TODAY October 27th
Earlier this year NYS legalized the use of Marijuana for anyone over 21 years.  Municipalities have until December 31st to opt-out of allowing dispensaries and/or lounges within their border.  A municipality can opt back in at a later date but must opt out by December 31st.   Over a dozen local municipalities have either opted out or are considering opting out.  The Town Board is holding a public discussion at the October 27th Town Board Meeting.

Elected Officials Roundtable POSTPONED
Unfortunately we will need to reschedule this event due to public official availability on November 1st. We are committed to helping keep Hartsdale issues a priority for our elected representatives and will send out an updated communication when we have a new date and time. In the meantime, if you haven’t seen The First HNA Roundtable in September with officials from the GCSD BOE and Hartsdale Board of Fire Commissioners, you can watch anytime on the HNA YouTube Channel.

Greenburgh Police Chief Resigns
Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney notified the Town Board that he is  stepping down to accept the role as Chief of Police of the Larchmont Police Department.  The Greenburgh Town Board will be meeting this week to begin the process of selecting an Interim Chief.

The 2022 Town of Greenburgh Proposed Budget will be out by October 30th and Town Supervisor Paul Feiner has already indicated that he intends to ask for no increase in property tax.  You can read more of  Supervisor Feiner’s message, and we will share additional details on the budget later in the month.
