Public Forum on Property Assessments
We found that there was a lot of confusion and even some misinformation on the impact of assessment changes to property taxes. In order to minimize the confusion, answer questions about the assessment process and help guide you through the process of challenging your assessment if you wish; HNA hosted a live forum with Town Assessor Edye McCarthy. You can watch it anytime on The HNA YouTube channel.
Proposed Seasonal Tennis Bubble at Scarsdale Golf Club
Scarsdale Golf Club has requested a variance to the TOG zoning code to install a seasonal temporary enclosure over two tennis courts to allow for year-round usage. The matter is currently before the TOG Zoning Board. The proposed enclosure is directly adjacent to the Hartsdale Parking Garage, would have some visibility from the street and if approved would require some regrading, retaining walls and stabilization to adjacent court areas. Enhancements to stormwater management and emergency access to the tennis area have also been proposed as part of overall request. In addition, the Club is also requesting to install new netting along its existing driving range to reduce damage from stray golf balls to cars in adjacent apartment parking lots. The matter will be open for public comments at the July 14th ZBA meeting.
Join our community in honoring and celebrating Juneteenth this evening Friday June 17th with a flag raising at the Town Hall, motorcade and food, fun and music at Richard Presser Park Webb Field. The fun starts at 5PM.
